With reference to your letter No. 59327/16

of the 23rd. ult. relative to Mesere. Vogelstein and

Company, of New York, I am directed by the Minister

of Munitions to state, for the information of Mr.

Secretary Bower Law, that the Commission Internationale

de Ravitaillement have now stated that there are no

contracte placed by the Russian Committee with Messrs.

Vogelstein and Company. I am to add that so far as this

Department has been able to discover, none of the Allied

Governments have orders at the present time with the

firm in question.
